Steven Jackson

Steven -Jackson gained 16 yards on six carries and secured one of two targets for two yards in Saturday's 27-20 Divisional Round victory over the Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact

The Patriots did not utilize Jackson or the running game as the team only rushed seven times against Kansas City. If the Patriots do go to the run in the AFC championship game expect Jackson to get the workload. But it will be tough to tell what the Patriots will do which will make Jackson a risky option in DFS.

ESPN Patriots reports Mike Reiss expects Steven Jackson to be the team's lead power back in the playoffs. Jackson will be ahead of Brandon Bolden, while James White handles much of the pass-game work.

Fantasy Impact

Having not played all season, Steven Jackson looked rusty in his first two games with the Patriots. He rushed 21 times for just 50 yards (2.38 YPC) and one touchdown. The Patriots obviously feel Jackson has something left in the tank and may need to rely on him if they are involved in any bad weather playoff games.

Steven Jackson rushed 14 times for 35 yards and a touchdown Week 17 against the Dolphins. He also had one catch for 20 yards.

Fantasy Impact

The game plan for the Patriots in the first half of Sunday's game against Miami was to run Jackson early and often. He struggled to find any running room and other than the nice touchdown run did not look like he was comfortable behind the Patriots decimated offensive line. Expect him to be utilized in the playoffs as the early-down back as well as goal line.

He may be eased into the game plan against Jets, but Jackson is ready to roll for the Patriots.
