Sherrick McManis leads with seven tackles on Sunday

Sherrick McManis finished with seven total tackles during Sunday's 15-6 win over the Rams. McManis came into the game to replace Bryce Callahan when he left in the second quarter with a foot injury.

Fantasy Impact

There has been no update to Callahan's injury at this time. IDP owners in deep leagues can look at adding McManis especially if Callahan were to miss any significant time with his injury.

Sherrick McManis finishes with seven tackles on Sunday

Sherrick McManis finished with his best performance as far as the stat sheet says. That said, he should not be happy that the Bears' secondary allowed over 400 passing yards to a struggling Lions team. McManis finished with seven tackles and one assist.

Fantasy Impact

McManis has shown flashes this season, but not as far as fantasy is concerned. He does not hold any IDP value. In fact, none of the Bears' secondary should be owned in IDP leagues. Too many more consistent DB options exist.

Sherrick McManis finishes with three tackles on Sunday

Sherrick McManis saw limited playing time on Sunday. He finished with three tackles and had an up and down game.

Fantasy Impact

McManis worked his way up the depth chart this offseason. The special team standout now sees playing time as the third CB at times. However, his limited playing time makes his IDP value nonexistent.

Sherrick McManis shines in the Bears preseason opener on Thursday

The Chicago Bears were struggling in the first half on Thursday; scoring only three points. However, the Bears defense buckled down in the second half and created four turnovers. One of those turnovers came when Sherrick McManis stripped the ball from RB, Mike Gillislee. The fumble lead to a field goal. McManis also tied for the team lead with four tackles and was involved in a couple tightly covered incompletions.

Fantasy Impact

Do not move McManis to the top of your CB fantasy draft boards just yet. This is preseason football and backups tend to shine because they are also playing against backups. McManis has a great amount of value to the Bears as both a special team standout and a backup corner. However, in regards to fantasy, McManis has zero fantasy value.
