Salvon Ahmed
RB - Miami Dolphins
2024 Outlook
The Miami Dolphins plan to bring back RB Salvon Ahmed on a one-year deal for a fifth season with the team.
Fantasy Impact
Since Ahmed's rookie season when he started four games, appeared in six and posted 380 scrimmage yards with a trio of touchdowns for a 10-win Dolphins team, he has not eclipsed an offensive snap share of more than 26% in a season. Each year, though, his special teams snaps have increased, playing a third of the team's snaps in his eight games last season. With RB Jeff Wilson Jr. a potential cap cut candidate, Ahmed could find himself as the RB3/4 in a backfield with RBs De'Von Achane, Raheem Mostert and Chris Brooks, serving as a depth piece and special teamer.
Dolphins RB Salvon Ahmed was placed on IR Tuesday with a foot injury.
Fantasy Impact
Ahmed apparently picked up a foot injury in the team’s win over the Raiders on Sunday. Fantasy managers should expect Jeff Wilson to likely see more snaps and be active on game day against the Jets.
Salvon Ahmed rushed for six yards on three carries in the Dolphins’ 20-13 win over the Raiders. He caught 3-of-3 targets for 25 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Impact
Ahmed caught an 11-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to give Miami the lead prior to halftime. The 24-year-old has seen limited action this season and will likely remain in a depth role moving forward. Fantasy managers can leave the running back on the waiver wire for now.
Salvon Ahmed rushed three times for four yards while also catching two of three targets for eight yards in the Dolphins' 21-14 Week 9 loss to the Chiefs.
Fantasy Impact
Ahmed been minimally involved despite electric rookie running back De'Von Achane (knee) sidelined. With a potential Week 11 return for Achane, fantasy managers can look elsewhere if in need of running back help after the team's Week 10 bye.
Salvon Ahmed rushed for one yard on two carries in the Dolphins' 31-17 win over the Patriots. He caught 4-of-4 targets for 16 yards in the win.
Fantasy Impact
Ahmed continues to see limited action in the running game with veteran Raheem Mostert seeing the bulk of the snaps at running back. Fantasy managers can leave the 24-year-old on the waiver wire for now.
