Marquez Callaway elevated to active roster Week 15

The New Orleans Saints have activated WR Marquez Callaway from their practice squad for Week 15 versus the New York Giants.

Fantasy Impact

Callaway is set to play in his third game of the season with the Saints, spending the year as a member of their practice squad. The 25-year-old WR has had a slow season, recording no statistics through the first 14 weeks just a couple of years removed from his 698-yard, six-TD season in 2021. He should not be a factor in fantasy lineups.

Marquez Callaway signed to Saints practice squad

The Saints signed WR Marquez Callaway to its practice squad.

Fantasy Impact

This move comes after Michael Thomas was placed on injured reserve. Callaway, who previously played for the Saints, was waived by the Broncos back in August.

Marquez Callaway waived by Denver

The Denver Broncos have waived WR Marquez Callaway.

Fantasy Impact

Callaway joined the Broncos as a free agent after spending his first three seasons with the Saints. Despite a down season in 2022 in which he only totaled 16 receptions, Callaway could have suitors that are in need of wide receiver depth.

Marquez Callaway expected to sign with Broncos

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, free agent WR Marquez Callaway is expected to sign with the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Impact

Callaway spent three seasons in New Orleans where he played under the Broncos' new head coach Sean Payton. In 2021, he had 46 catches, 698 yards and six touchdowns under Payton, all career-high marks. The Broncos have been reportedly shopping their WRs, which could potentially open a role for Callaway.

Marquez Callaway fails to catch lone target in Week 13 loss

Marquez Callaway failed to catch his lone target in the Saints' 17-16 Week 13 loss to the Buccaneers.

Fantasy Impact

Callaway was an absolute afterthought for the Saints offense Monday night, finishing last on the team in targets on a night in which the passing attack was unable to get much going. The wideout has failed to make much of an impact on a consistent basis as part of an injury-ravaged pass-catching group and cannot be trusted coming out of the team's Week 14 bye against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15.
