Leonard Williams
DT - Seattle Seahawks
2024 Outlook
The Seahawks are bringing back Leonard Williams on a three-year deal worth $21.5 million per year.
Fantasy Impact
Williams will remain in Seattle after the Seahawks traded for him at the deadline last year. He should remain a huge part of the defensive line under a new coaching regime in Seattle.
Leonard Williams has been listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Cowboys.
Fantasy Impact
Williams was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's injury report, so he appears to be on the more favorable side of questionable. The Seahawks will need him and the pass rush to get to Dak Prescott on Thursday.
The Giants are trading DL Leonard Williams to the Seahawks for a 2024 second-round and 2025 fifth-round pick.
Fantasy Impact
New York agreed to take on a large portion of Williams's contract to obtain better draft picks in the deal. In eight games this season, the 29-year-old has tallied 21 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
New York Giants DT Leonard Williams said that between he and the Giants there "hasn't been much" contract discussion.
Fantasy Impact
Williams said that he's not interested in jumping between teams and is open to staying in New York. He also said he'd love to keep playing with his teammates and stick with his coaches. However, there doesn't seem to be much momentum regarding an extension. Williams, a one-time Pro Bowl DT, has been an impactful interior presence for the Giants in both run and pass defense. He enters the last year of his deal and would become a free agent if no extension is made.
Leonard Williams is officially active for New York’s Week 15 matchup with Washington on Sunday Night Football.
Fantasy Impact
Williams suiting up will create more havoc for Taylor Heinicke and the Washington Commanders. Williams has 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in eight games this season but did not have any sacks the last time these two teams faced on Dec 4. His being active does make the Giants D/ST that much more intriguing for DFS purposes.
