The Carolina Panthers have selected RB Jonathon Brooks with the No. 46th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Brooks is the first running back off the board in the 2024 Draft, likely drafted due to the lackluster running back performances by new teammates Chuba Hubbard and Miles Sanders. Both of Brooks' new teammates averaged less than 4 yards per carry last year, something Carolina needs to improve upon if they want to give QB Bryce Young a real chance to succeed. It remains a muddy backfield to predict until we see and hear more from training camp and practice.

Brooks tore his ACL on Nov. 12, 2023, a tough blow for a Texas program that fell short in the College Football Playoffs. Brooks has progressed to lightly jogging as of NFL Scouting Combine week and is no longer wearing a knee brace. He's pushing to be as available in his rookie season as possible.
