Diontae Johnson
WR - Carolina Panthers
2024 Outlook
The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson has a $3 million roster bonus due Friday that the Panthers now will pay. He had been in the trade rumors as of late and now lands in Carolina. Johnson joins Adam Thielen and D.J. Chark among a couple others in the wide receiver room with Carolina.
Diontae Johnson caught 4-of-4 targets for 76 yards in the Steelers' 30-23 win over the Seahawks.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson was the safety blanket a few times for Mason Rudolph on the afternoon. He will remain in the WR2/WR3 conversation if Rudolph sees another start.
Diontae Johnson caught two of his five targets for 15 yards in a 34-11 win over the Bengals in Week 16.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson was uncharacteristically quiet in the win as the two catches were his lowest total since back in Week 11 against the Browns. Johnson now has 43 catches and four touchdowns in 11 games this season. He will be a high-end WR3 in Week 17 against the Seahawks.
Diontae Johnson caught 4-of-6 targets for 62 yards and a touchdown in Pittsburgh's 30-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Pittsburgh's offense as a whole was ineffective on Saturday, but Johnson was an exception to that. He led the team in receiving yards with 62 and was able to get in the end zone in what turned out to be a loss to the Colts. He's shown some promise for fantasy purposes but shouldn't be relied on as a major contributor moving forward.
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson, who was dealing with a knee injury, practiced in full on Thursday and is off the team's injury report for Saturday's contest.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson was a surprise DNP on Wednesday, the second day of practice, but he returned to full participation the next day. Without even a questionable tag, confidence can be had in Johnson's status who — despite the continued offensive struggles — has consecutive weeks with touchdowns (seven catches, 90 yards over that span).
