Courtland Sutton
WR - Denver Broncos
2024 Outlook
Courtland Sutton did not report to the Denver Broncos' voluntary workouts on Monday. The veteran WR is seeking a new contract as he only has two million dollars guaranteed left on his deal.
Fantasy Impact
Sutton's situation will be one to monitor over the off-season. From a fantasy perspective, his 10 touchdowns in 2023 provided great value for managers. If Sutton were to miss time as a result of this contract dispute, the likes of Marvin Mims Jr. and Greg Dulcich would see an uptick in targets.
The Denver Broncos are not currently shopping veteran WR Courtland Sutton amid their current roster reshaping.
Fantasy Impact
With the Broncos moving off of QB Russell Wilson and WR Jerry Jeudy, it seems like they are kicking the can on the 2024 season and biting the cap-space bullet, aiming for 2025. Sutton has two years left on his deal and doesn't seem to fit the team's timeline at the age of 28, but he's also their only experienced receiver at the moment. He has averaged nearly 800 yards over his last three seasons.
Courtland Sutton caught 1 of 4 targets for just two yards in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Raiders.
Fantasy Impact
Sutton left Sunday's game early with an ankle injury, as he has had an otherwise strong fantasy season derailed over the final three weeks. Over the Broncos' first 14 games of the season, Sutton averaged 4.1 grabs for 55 yards while hauling in 10 touchdowns. He obviously has the ability to be a solid fantasy asset, but Sutton's value going into next season will largely depend on what the Broncos' do at QB.
Broncos WR Courtland Sutton is officially active for a Week 18 matchup with the Raiders.
Fantasy Impact
Sutton missed last week with a concussion but was able to clear the protocol and will suit up in the team’s regular season finale. He should factor back into the offense but fantasy managers will want to lower their expectations with Jarrett Stidham in at quarterback.
Courtland Sutton logged a full practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
It is an upgrade for Sutton after he was limited on Wednesday. He'll have a chance to clear the concussion protocol and play in the season finale.
