Cameron Brate
TE -
2024 Outlook
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, TE Cameron Brate is expected to be released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the team continues to try and creat cap space.
Fantasy Impact
Brate was owed about $5 million and joins OL Donovan Smith and RB Leonard Fournette as Tampa Bay’s cap casualties as the Buccaneers try to create cap space. Brate spent nine seasons with the Buccaneers and scored 33 receiving touchdowns, currently the third most in franchise history. Brate will become a free agent within the coming days and can look for his next team.
Cameron Brate caught two passes for just 25 yards in Sunday's 34-23 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Fantasy Impact
It was a rough outing for Brate on Sunday, who caught only two passes in a loss to the Bengals. There was a possibility of him saving his day with a touchdown at various points in the game, but that never happened and he ended up with poor fantasy numbers. He hasn't had a good year and shouldn't be rostered for the rest of the season.
Cameron Brate caught just two passes for 12 yards in Tampa Bay's 35-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Brate was a non-factor on Sunday, catching just two passes and totaling 12 yards on the day. He wasn't given many opportunities, and he didn't do anything with what little he was given. He hasn't found much success from a fantasy standpoint this season and shouldn't be started for the rest of the season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate is inactive for Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy Impact
Brate was listed as questionable with an illness but returned to practice on Saturday, so there was some hope he would be active. Cade Otton will see an expanded role in his absence but has been inconsistent when given extra opportunity. Otton is the TE28 in ECR for Week 13.
Cameron Brate (illness) is questionable to play in Tampa Bay's matchup against the New Orleans Saints on Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Brate is dealing with an illness that sidelined him for two practices this week, and he is officially questionable for Monday. He was able to log a full practice on Saturday, however, so there is some optimism that he'll be available to play. If he's ruled out, rookie Cade Otton will be in line for more work in his absence.
