Detroit Lions D/ST crumbles at the hands of yet another bad offense

by Shane McCormack | Lions Correspondent | Mon, Dec 25th 10:46am EST

Detroit's defense allowed 26 points and over 350 yards to one of the league's most anemic offenses. They managed to intercept Andy Dalton once and sack him three times, but it wasn't enough.

Fantasy Impact:

Just when things seemed to be going in the right direction for this inconsistent unit, this happens. Giovani Bernard had his way both on the ground and through the air as he accumulated 168 yards of offense. This would suggest that the problem, as usual, is with the front seven much more so than the secondary. As difficult as it would be to trust them next week, the Lions D/ST actually matches up well with the Packers offense, which doesn't have a very strong backfield and is coming off of being shutout had home.
