Darrel Williams working out with Saints Monday

According to Jordan Schultz, former Chiefs and Cardinals RB Darrel Williams is working out with the New Orleans Saints on Monday following their preseason opener. (Jordan Schultz on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Williams is 28 and heading into his sixth season, spending 2022 as a backup RB in Arizona. In 2021 with the Chiefs, though, he had 1,010 scrimmage yards and eight total touchdowns, servicing as both a runner and a pass catcher. The Saints suffered an injury to rookie RB Kendre Miller, and though we don’t know the extent of that injury, working out Williams is probably a sign they’re looking for some more insurance given Alvin Kamara’s suspension.
