New England Patriots working on a deal to bring back Joe Judge

by Andrew Hayslip | Patriots Correspondent | Tue, Feb 8th 10:37am EST

The Patriots are currently working on a deal to bring back former Special Teams and Wide Receivers coach Joe Judge after a brief stint with the New York Giants, this time in an "offensive assistant" role. (Albert Breer (@albertbreer))

Fantasy Impact:

Judge was a member of the Patriots Special Teams coaching staff from 2012 - 2020, before taking on Head Coaching duties with the Giants, where he was released after two seasons. With his return to New England, expect a stylistically similar approach from the team in the void of former Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels, based on mutual familiarity between Judge and the organization. This rings especially true if the rumors around Bill O'Brien returning as Offensive Coordinator turn out to be true.
