Jason Witten inactive for the preseason opener

Jason Witten did not play in the Cowboys first preseason game against the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact:
There is no reason to be alarmed, as Witten is returning to the Cowboys after a brief one-year retirement and along with a few other players is inactive and resting for the first preseason game. Look for Witten to participate in future preseason games in an attempt to shake some of the rust off before the regular season starts. If the veteran picks up where he left off, he would instantly upgrade a passing attack that lacked a viable receiving threat from the TE position during the 2018 season. If he returns to form, Witten has the potential to become a low-end TE1 or high-end TE2.
