DeAndre' Bembry recently underwent season ending surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee. This move opens up a roster spots for the Bucks. Bembry averaged 5.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 56 games between Brooklyn and Milwaukee this season.

Bembry sustained the right knee injury during the third quarter of Saturday's game, and it isn't clear exactly what kind of injury it is. It is being reported, however, that the injury is considered serious and is thought to be season-ending. If that does end up being the case, Jordan Nwora is primed to see additional minutes.

The signing comes in the wake of Pat Connaughton’s surgery, which will cause him to miss 3-4 weeks, according to reports. It is uncertain where Bembry, 27, will slide into the Bucks wing rotation, but it will likely be in a similar role to his time in Brooklyn. In 48 games with the Nets this year, the veteran averaged nearly 20 minutes per game. He will only be a fantasy option on nights when Khris Middleton and/or Giannis sit.

Per Brian Lewis, DeAndre' Bembry is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Spurs with a back injury.

Bembry's status continues to remain in doubt ahead of Friday's matchup with the Spurs. If the veteran does miss, expect Cameron Thomas and Kessler Edwards to see extended minutes.

Bembry is one of four Brooklyn Nets to newly enter the league's health and safety protocols Tuesday. This comes less than 24 hours after the addition of Nets' forward Paul Millsap to the league's Covid-19 protocols. The Nets will be forced to play shorthanded in their Tuesday night matchup against the Raptors.
