Kakko has caught fire in the offensive zone of late, recording points in each of his last three games (one goal, two assists) for the Rangers. The 23-year-old is one of many gritty forward options for head coach Peter Laviolette, recording nine points (six goals, three assists) to go along with 11 hits in 33 games so far this season.

Kakko had gone exactly one month without a goal, and ten games over that stretch. The kid just can not seem to put it together, and for that reason, does not deserve to be rostered in standard formats of Fantasy Hockey. Leave him on the waiver wire unless you are in the deepest of dynasty leagues.

Kakko has always had potential, but for some reason, has yet to put it all together. He has always played with elite talent around him, so he has been given chances to succeed. The former top pick needs to score over 25 goals for this to be considered a successful season. He remains a deep-league option at best.
