Svi Mykhailiuk exercises player option for 2022-23

Svi Mykhailiuk exercised his $1.9 million player option on Monday and will remain in Toronto next season as reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania. (Shams Charania on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Svi signed a $3.6 million contract with Toronto last offseason and his opting to exercise this option comes as no surprise as the Kansas-product is on his 4th team in four years. Mykhailiuk, after falling out of the Raptors’ rotation late last season and even being demoted to the G-League in March, knows he would likely not bring in $1.9 million on the open market. The Ukrainian sharpshooter averaged just 4.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 12.8 minutes across 56 games with Toronto this past season.
