The right-hander has appeared in just 38 big-league games, working to a 5.23 ERA and 9.9% K-BB% in that time. He's spent the bulk of the 2023 season at Triple-A where he has been roughed up for a 6.75 ERA across 27 appearances, only six of which were starts.

Patino takes the roster spot of Calvin Faucher who was placed on the injured list due to elbow inflammation. The former top prospect has been rocked for a 7.64 ERA across six starts and 10 relief appearances spanning 35 1/3 innings at Triple-A this season.

Luis Patino has been sent down to Triple-A following Sunday's start against the Yankees.

Patino lasted just 1.1 innings, giving up 9 ER and walking 4, so this isn't too surprising. He may still see time in the big leagues again this season, but shouldn't be trusted as a fantasy option for the immediate future. A corresponding call-up has not been officially announced.
