Sborz was incredible in last year's playoff run, recording a 0.75 ERA in 10 outings. He hadn’t allowed a run in his first 2 and 2/3 innings pitched of this season. The Rangers recalled right-hander Grant Anderson from Triple-A Round Rock to fill the roster spot.

Chris Woodward was relieved of his managerial duties by the Texas Rangers on Monday. Woodward was the Rangers manager since 2019 when he posted his best season with a 78-84 record. His overall record with the Rangers ended at 211-287. The Rangers interim manager is unclear at the moment.
