Bukauskas was promoted from Triple-A and pitched one inning on April 9 against the Guardians but surrendered one earned run on two hits and a pair of walks while striking out one. He's also yielded five earned runs across just 4 2/3 innings at Triple-A to begin the season.

RHP J.B. Bukauskas allowed four unearned runs on one hit and three walks over one inning as the D-Backs were pounded by the Giants 11-4 on Friday.

Bukauskas was making his first appearance since May 24 following a lengthy IL stint. It did not go so well for the 24-year-old. He walked Buster Posey initially but then induced a double play to get two quick outs. He followed that up with two more walks sandwiched between Wilmer Flores reaching on an error. Thairo Estrada then swatted a grand slam but due to the error, none of the runs were earned. There should be better days ahead for J.B. Bukauskas.

The 24-year-old has been out since the middle of May. Acquired in the Zack Greinke trade, Bukauskas has "closer stuff" but is still working on being a consistent reliever for now.
