Fantasy Impact: The 26-year-old is currently on the injured list with an AC join sprain. Canzone is slated to play in four games with Tacoma before the team re-evaluates him.

Fantasy Impact: Musgrove continues to work his way back from right elbow inflammation. The veteran underwent an MRI and it came back clean. The Padres hope that he will be able to return after the minimum 15 days.


Jameson Taillon was scratched from Friday's start due to back stiffness. The Cubs will see how he feels tomorrow and could start as soon as Sunday. (Source: Meghan Montemurro on X)

Fantasy Impact: Taillon felt the issue while playing catch on Tuesday, and the Cubs didn't feel comfortable with him starting on Friday. Taillon was on the IL to start the season due to back issues, but manager Craig Counsell says that this issue is not as bad as what he dealt with in Spring Training. This isn't an ideal situation for Taillon, who has enjoyed a great start to the season with a 1.13 ERA in 4 starts. More information should come this weekend, but managers should have a backup plan in place in case he can't pitch this weekend.

Fantasy Impact: Raley will see another doctor in the hopes of being cleared to throw. Fantasy managers should expect Raley to remain without a timetable for his return.

Fantasy Impact: This is the first time Green has thrown from the mound since landing on the injured list. Fantasy managers should expect the veteran reliever to head out on a rehab assignment soon.

Fantasy Impact: Fairbanks completed two rehab outings with Triple-A Durham and has rejoined the team. Fantasy managers should expect him to return to the closer’s role upon his return.


Seiya Suzuki (oblique) has been activated from the 10-day IL. (Source: Meghan Montemurro on X)

Fantasy Impact: Suzuki has been out of action since April 14th due to an oblique strain but felt good in his rehab assignment this week. He'll look to pick up where he left off before getting hurt where he hit .305 with an .893 OPS in 15 games to start the season.

Fantasy Impact: Swanson has been dealing with pain in his knee since April 25th and the Cubs were hoping he would be better after a few days off. The issue seems to still be lingering, so the Cubs will play it safe and put the shortstop on the IL. Nico Hoerner will get the bulk of starts at shortstop, with Nick Madrigal and Miles Mastrobuoni getting time at second base.

Fantasy Impact: This was Yoshida’s third opinion on the injury. While there is no timetable for his return, he will be able to focus on rehab and will no longer have to undergo a procedure.

Fantasy Impact: Contreras originally sustained a forearm fracture this past Tuesday, May 7 when he was struck by a swing from Mets' designated hitter J.D. Martinez. Contreras is obviously a tough loss for the Cardinals, as he's been one of the best bats so far this season, posting a .950 OPS with six homers and 11 doubles through 31 games. Contreras hopes to be back around the All-Star break.

Fantasy Impact: This is definitely concerning for the Rangers, as this marks the second trip to the injured list for Sborz with the same injury. The Rangers will likely add a bullpen arm on Friday.

Fantasy Impact: The team is hopeful that because the operation was considered minor that Rom will be able to return before the end of the season.

Fantasy Impact: Woo completed his rehab assignment earlier this week and now the Mariners have confirmed where Woo will make his 2024 debut. He only threw 66 pitches in his final rehab start, so he may not see a full workload on Friday. Bryce Miller will pitch on Saturday and Luis Castillo on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Williams was moved to clear a 40-man roster after the team acquired Darren McCaughan from the Marlins. There is still no timetable for his return.


The Guardians have acquired Darren McCaughan form the Marlins for cash considerations.

Fantasy Impact: McCaughan was recently designated for assignment after struggling with the Marlins. He will likely serve as a depth option for the Guardians.

Fantasy Impact: Freeland continues to rehab from a left elbow strain. He will continue to ramp up in his throwing program, but there is no timetable for is return.

Fantasy Impact: Burdi landed on the IL in mid-April due to right hip inflammation. The 31-year-old should pitch in middle relief out of the Yankees’ bullpen.

Fantasy Impact: Lee fouled off a pitch on his foot in Wednesday's game. He can be considered as day-to-day.


Cristian Javier (neck) is expected to be activated from the IL and start Saturday vs the Tigers. (Source: Chandler Rome on X)

Fantasy Impact: Javier has been out since April 14th due to neck discomfort but looks ready to return to the Astros rotation. He threw 68 pitches in his most recent rehab start, so it's possible that he won't see a full workload right away. Framber Valdez will start on Friday and Justin Verlander will take the mound on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Rendon has been sidelined the past few weeks due to a hamstring tear. He was transferred to the 60-day IL to make room on the roster for Luis Guillorme who the Angels acquired from the Braves.
