Martin Necas had a nose for the net for the Hurricanes Thursday night, scoring three goals and recording a hat-trick in a 5-2 win over the Avalanche.

Necas continues an impactful stretch in the offensive zone of late, tallying points in six of his last eight games (seven goals, two assists) for the Hurricanes. The center is one of many options as part of a deep Carolina forward group for head coach Rod Brindamour, notching 34 points (16 goals, 18 assists) while also recording 49 hits in 45 games so far this season.
