Christian Walker's Quiet Day Still Contributes to D-Backs' Win

by Matthew Adam | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Tue, May 14th 5:34am EDT

Christian Walker had a mixed performance in the Diamondbacks' narrow 6-5 victory over the Reds.

Fantasy Impact:

He went 1-for-4 with two runs scored, one stolen base, one walk, and one strikeout. Despite a relatively quiet day at the plate in terms of power and RBIs, Walker's ability to score runs and swipe a base added some value for fantasy managers. His season batting average sits at .265, and while his power numbers aren't eye-popping, his consistent on-base ability (highlighted by a .357 wOBA) keeps him relevant in most fantasy formats. His stolen base, though rare, is a nice bonus, but don't count on it being a regular occurrence.
