Shortly after news broke that Mike Trout would miss time with knee surgery, the Angels acquired free-agent outfielder Kevin Pillar. The 35-year-old was designated by assignment by the White Sox on Friday after recording just a .160 batting average over 25 at-bats in 17 games. This will be Pillar's ninth team over his 12-year career.
