Shane Bieber does not require surgery after meeting with doctor. He'll go two weeks without throwing and will be evaluated week by week. (Mandy Bell on Twitter)

Bieber currently owns a 3.77 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 7.31 K/9 through 19 starts this season. The ace's numbers are down across the board compared to his excellent 2022 season. However, his 11 quality starts have him tied for the 11th most quality starts in the majors. The 28-year-old still has value in quality start leagues as he avoided a long-term absence.
