Freddy Galvis drawing interest from the Yankees

by Christopher Blanchard | Mon, Dec 17th 11:12am EST

George A. King III of the New York Post reported that the Yankees have interest in Freddy Galvis as a replacement for the injured Didi Gregorius as an alternative plan if they are unable to land Manny Machado. (New York Post)

Fantasy Impact:

Galvis is a versatile player, having played short, third and second, along with the outfield throughout his seven-year career. He slashed .248/.299/.680 in 2018 with the Padres, right in line with his career numbers and would provide Gold Glove-caliber defense, having been a finalist the last three years. Galvis has hit 12 or more home runs and had 60+ RBI each of the last three years, and could easily surpass those as part of the Yankees lineup.
