J.D. Martinez went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in the Mets' narrow 10-9 loss to the Marlins.

Fantasy Impact: Despite the team's defeat, Martinez's performance was a bright spot, contributing significantly with a pair of hits and driving in runs. His season batting average remains impressive at .315, and while his power numbers aren't eye-popping, his ability to consistently get on base and drive in runs is valuable for fantasy managers. His high BABIP of .420 suggests some luck, but his solid wOBA of .357 indicates genuine productivity. Fantasy managers should continue to view Martinez as a reliable option, particularly in formats that reward hitting for average and on-base skills.

Luis Severino struggled in Saturday's 10-9 loss to the Marlins, allowing five earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three over 6 2/3 innings.

Fantasy Impact: This outing pushed his ERA to 3.48 and WHIP to 1.22 for the season, reflecting a somewhat shaky performance trend. Despite a decent start to the season, his recent performance, characterized by a lower strikeout rate (7.7 K/9) and a modest strikeout-to-walk ratio (1.91), suggests potential volatility for fantasy managers. Given these metrics, fantasy managers might consider Severino a risky play, depending on the matchup, as his ability to dominate games appears inconsistent this season.
