Bryce Elder hit hard Sunday

Bryce Elder allowed seven runs (six earned) on nine hits over three innings on Sunday against the Padres.

Fantasy Impact: Elder was hit hard right away as Jake Cronenworth crushed a two-run home run in the first inning. San Diego added one more run in the opening frame before scoring four runs in the fourth inning. Elder now boasts a 6.46 ERA with a matchup against the Pirates up next.


Jake Cronenworth goes deep Sunday

Jake Cronenworth connected on a two-run home run on Sunday against the Braves.

Fantasy Impact: Cronenworth opened up the scoring with a two-run long ball in the first inning off Bryce Elder. It was his eighth home run on the season, while slashing .275/.344/.485 with 30 RBI.


Yu Darvish allowed two hits over seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts and one walk on Sunday against the Braves.

Fantasy Impact: Darvish allowed just three base runners all night. He has not allowed an earned run over 17 innings across his past three starts, lowering his ERA to 2.08 on the season. He'll look to keep it up against the Yankees next.


Paul Sewald earns save Sunday

Paul Sewald worked a clean inning on Sunday against the Tigers with one strikeout.

Fantasy Impact: Sewald earned his third save on the season with an 1.80 ERA over his five innings of work.


Jordan Montgomery allowed four runs on five hits over six innings with three strikeouts and two walks on Sunday against the Tigers.

Fantasy Impact: Montgomery allowed a solo home run to Spencer Torkelson in the third inning, but otherwise kept Detroit in check through four innings. The Tigers were able to tack on one run in each of the next three frames. Montgomery is scheduled to face Miami next.


Spencer Torkelson hit a solo home run on Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Fantasy Impact: Torkelson opened up the scoring for Detroit with a solo home run in the third inning for his third long ball on the season. He continues a slow start at the plate, slashing .227/.291/.360 with 17 RBI.


Matt Manning hit hard Sunday

Matt Manning allowed four runs on 10 hits over five innings on Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Fantasy Impact: Manning added just one strikeout to three walks on the afternoon. He'll look to bounce back in his next start against Toronto.


Andy Pages goes yard Sunday

Andy Pages hit a two-run home run on Sunday against the Reds.

Fantasy Impact: Pages broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning with a two-run long ball off Hunter Greene. It was worth monitoring when the Dodgers decided to option James Outman instead of Pages.


Landon Knack allowed one run on three hits over 4 1/3 innings on Sunday against the Reds.

Fantasy Impact: Knack added five strikeouts to just one walk in the outing. He was called up Sunday morning to make the start, and came through with a strong performance. He will likely be optioned back to Triple-A soon.


Hunter Greene allowed two runs on four hits over 6 1/3 innings with eight strikeouts and two walks on Sunday against the Dodgers.

Fantasy Impact: Greene continues to show flashes of his dominance, just as he did on the road against the Dodgers on Sunday. He lowered his ERA to 3.22 ahead of what is scheduled to be a rematch against the Dodgers again in his next start.


Camilo Doval records save Sunday

Camilo Doval worked a clean inning with one strikeout to record the save on Sunday against the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact: It was the eighth save on the season recorded by Doval. He remains a steady closer for the Giants and for fantasy managers.


Jordan Hicks earns win Sunday

Jordan Hicks allowed one run on three hits over five innings with one strikeout and one walk on Sunday against the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact: Hicks earned his fourth win on the season and lowered his ERA to 2.38 so far this year. He'll face the Mets next.


Ryan McMahon hits home run Sunday

Ryan McMahon hit a solo home run on Sunday against the Giants.

Fantasy Impact: McMahon opened the scoring with a long ball in the first inning, which went on to be the only run all afternoon for the Rockies. It was the seventh home run on the season for McMahon.


Dakota Hudson takes loss Sunday

Dakota Hudson allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits over 4 2/3 innings on Sunday against the Giants.

Fantasy Impact: Hudson added three strikeouts and two walks in the loss. He ran into trouble in the fifth inning where he allowed all three runs following four scoreless frames. He is scheduled to face the Phillies next.


Corey Seager goes deep Sunday

Corey Seager hit a solo home run on Sunday against the Angels.

Fantasy Impact: Seager drove in the only run on the afternoon for the Rangers with a solo home run in the fourth inning. It was his sixth long ball with a slash line of .247/.338/.371 on the season.


Michael Lorenzen allowed two runs on three hits over 6 1/3 innings on Sunday against the Angels.

Fantasy Impact: Lorenzen added six strikeouts and three walks in a loss. He will look for another quality start in his next outing against the Twins.


Luis Garcia records save Sunday

Luis Garcia earned the save on Sunday against the Rangers, allowing two hits over 1 1/3 scoreless innings.

Fantasy Impact: Garcia stayed in the game in the ninth inning with Carlos Estevez unavailable. It was his second save on the season, but Estevez remains the closer for the Angels.


Jose Soriano allowed one run on five hits over 7 2/3 innings with five strikeouts and two walks on Sunday against the Rangers.

Fantasy Impact: Outside of one home run allowed, Soriano dominated a tough lineup all afternoon. He lowered his ERA to 3.30 on the season and earned his second win.


Jameson Taillon takes loss Sunday

Jameson Taillon allowed three runs on six hits over 4 2/3 innings on Sunday against the Pirates.

Fantasy Impact: Taillon added four strikeouts and two walks in the loss. He allowed a solo home run to Jack Suwinski in the second inning and was removed in the fifth inning with two runners on base, both which went on to score. He is scheduled to take on the Cardinals next.
